Day 7: Saturday Success

Today was Family Fun Day at our school. An all day school event that was mandatory attendance. I didn’t get any of the beers on tap and it was “forced fun” but I still managed to have an enjoyable time.

Whew! Nice going! Mandatory fun is hard. 😁 Thanks for the Lionel Shriver recommendation. I'll check it out. Here's a rec for you, if you listen to podcasts: The Edit, by a couple of ex-drinkers, one of whom quit previously for a year and then went back. Maybe there's something there you can relate to? Good for you for blogging. I may or may not be on day one, and I'm enjoying reading posts, including yours. Also, I've been to Guangzhou!

Thanks for the Podcast recommendation, I will check it out. BTW, the Shriver book is more of a good read than it is a window into addition, I’m not currently reading material on boozing.

Have you had your Day 1? I’ve had a few since you visited my blog in November, but I’m back on the right side of things and looking for additional strategies to keep me strong. I just downloaded the first episode of “The Edit Podcast”. I’ll listen to it tomorrow morning walking the dogs. Thanks for the suggestion.
