Even today I had to stop myself from more consumption! I talked myself out of it each time, I think this is going to be harder than I thought.
Example #1: I threw the dog's frisbee over the fence of a school. While close I couldn't reach it. I passed by the pet store and they were closed, but they did have another flying squirrel frisbee. But for the lunch walk (we have May 1 off today) I went back to the park with some BBQ tongs and was able to reach it! Example #2: I left my power cord at work for my laptop. I'm at 11% battery and it is only 1:40pm. I planned to work for a few hours. Husband said I should just go an buy a new cord as this isn't the first time I left my cord at work. I decided that I work too much anyways on my days off. Not buying a cord, unplugging instead. Example #3: Reading the BBC article on the unexamined amounts of plastics in women's menstruation supplies. I found myself checking Taobao (Chinese version of Amazon.com) if they sell Softcup, my go to before moving here. But I checked my girlie supplies and have enough to last the month. Not buying back up, as much as I wanted to for the environment. I might need add to the below list since this is the first year of living in this new country. Who knows what May might bring? But here's my list! Operation Calm the Consumption Approved Consumption:
